During this difficult time of uncertainty in our collective history, many of us are isolated from our friends and family. Many are perhaps worrying about their health, livelihood and what the future holds. It is now more important than ever to stay connected. Connected spiritually, emotionally, mentally and physically. Stay connected to people, nature, animals, creativity, spirituality, your imagination, your body, and most of all to hope.
Hope is the confidence, the positive affirmation to expect better things to come. Through hope, we are able to find meaning, purpose and joy in the simplicity of the ordinary, in the every day.
Envisioning a better future enables us to take the necessary steps to make it happen. This in return encourages us, and strengthens our resolve. When our determination and resolve is greater than our circumstances, miracles can happen. We become so motivated and empowered by our own thoughts and connections to our subconscious and conscious selves our coping skills are strengthened, we tap into our unlimited potential and creative spirit. This fervor is the driving force that is gifted from hope, that enables us to overcome and face any challenges that lay ahead.

Some days it’s not going to be easy, but it will always be necessary. Feeling sorry for ourselves , sulking, and giving in doesn’t take much effort. Getting out of bed, putting one foot in front of the other and pushing ahead takes courage. Courage like hope and everything else worth having takes work. You can do it, and you don’t have to do it alone. Please reach out to family, friends, neighbors, and community based organizations. Create your own communities, and support networks if you are so inclined.
May you always be able to put one foot in front of the other and have hope and faith in all that is possible and right in front of you and within you.
